⚠️ A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SAFETY

Racer and volunteer safety comes first.

Last year, a record number of rescues were required. Once racers are on the water, changing conditions can make it extremely difficult to safely change courses or make contingency plans from shore.

For 2026, we’re strengthening our procedures so everyone knows the plan before launching.

There will be mandatory registration, check-in and course cutoff times. No at-the-door race registrations or last-minute course changes. Please listen carefully at the competitors meeting and follow all instructions from race and safety officials.

Racers who fail to follow safety instructions may be disqualified and may not be permitted to participate in the following year’s event.

Mandatory safety equipment:

  • PFD + whistle for every racer

  • Leash for SUP and wing foil

  • Clothing appropriate for the conditions

Dress for the water, not just the air temperature. Conditions can change quickly. Layers can come off; being underdressed after a fall into cold water can put you at risk of hypothermia.

⚠️ Racers must also stay clear of the “Keep Out Zone” buoys near the Island Airport. Entering restricted areas may result in prosecution or fines.

Final course direction will depend on race-day wind and conditions. Full Notice of Race details are coming soon.

HELP US KEEP PARKING FOR THE BOARDS

Club parking is extremely limited. Please leave TWC spaces for racers transporting boards and equipment.

Everyone else is encouraged to park at the main Cherry Beach lot west of the club, or better yet — bike, walk, skate, take TTC or carpool.

NOT RACING? JOIN THE MAMMOTH TEAM!

You don’t need to race to be part of the fun. Volunteers make Mammoth possible!

We need help with registration, timekeeping, lunch service, boat support, beach and participant assistance, photography and clean-up.

Please register to volunteer in advance and tell us where you’d most like to help.

Volunteer hours count toward TWC member volunteer credits and high school volunteer requirements.

❤️ THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS

The Mammoth Marathon is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors (Silent Sports, Northline, WindForce, Blue Wave) and the incredible volunteers who help keep racers safe, fed, organized and smiling.

A special thank you to Carl Spiess of The Launch Pad Academy for your generous support of Toronto Windsurfing Club’s Learn to Windsurf programming and the Mammoth Marathon! Your support helps us get more people on the water, learning, racing and catching the stoke. ❤️
