BoardFest 2023 (Volunteers Required)

Registration

  • This team will ensure that everything is set-up for lunch to begin at 12:00 noon. In addition to set-up you'll be tasked with managing the BBQ and food service.

    11:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • Join us at 8:30 am to help prep for the day and set-up the tables and chairs that will be required.

    8:00 am - 9:30 am
  • We'll do a final clean up of the site and make sure that all tables and chairs have been put away.

    3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The annual BoardFest season opener is back, featuring a sport swap, TWC pop-up show, clinics, a BBQ lunch, band and vendors.  Join us for a day of fun, get to know the board and other members.

  • 11:00 am - 5:00 pm - Demo Day with WindForce Sports
  • 12:00 pm - live music and lunch

Gear Swap
Buyers: Don't miss this opportunity to find great deals on gear and speak to the sellers to learn more about the equipment. Here's some advice on building your sail quiver from SurferToday.

Sellers: This is the perfect opportunity to sell to sell gear that you don't use anymore. Sellers are responsible for their own gear; you set the price, have a chance to speak to buyers, and collect the money when sold. We'll provide markers and labels for pricing. Sellers are responsible for removing any unsold gear at the end of the day.

Parking

BoardFest is one of the busiest events of the year, we encourage members to use alternate means to the club if possible as parking fills quickly. Once full members should park parking by the other OHSF clubs, use the pay parking at the soccer fields or parking at Cherry Beach.  Parking fines may be issued to anyone that parks on Regatta Rd.

Lunch

$5.00 doesn't go far these these, but at BoardFest you will receive a hot dog or hamburger (vegetarian also available) and a drink. Hang out with members, visit the vendors, and enjoy classics by the One Shot Band.  

Rain Date

We'll be watching the weather all week, if there is a high chance of rain or thunderstorms on Saturday June 3 we'll hold the event on Sunday June 4.  We'll update the events section of the website, the blog, post to social and send an email to make sure that everyone is aware of a change (if needed).
