Welcome to the TWC Learn To Windsurf Program

3 Steps to Learn to Windsurf

You must be a member to take Learn to Windsurf lessons.

1. Look over the Learn to Windsurf Lesson Schedule.

2. Choose 4 lessons in sequential order (lesson #1, #2, #3, #4).

3. You will be emailed an invoice for membership and / or lessons. You can pay on-line with a credit card, mail a cheque, or bring a cheque to your first lesson.

General information about the Toronto Windsurfing Club

The Toronto Windsurfing Club is accepting new members and we do have storage spaces, both for windsurfing boards and stand –up paddle boards.

Our membership application is on-line at: http://registration.torontowindsurfingclub.com/
After registration, an invoice is emailed with payment options (on-line with a credit card or mailing a cheque).

Members with storage are mailed a key. The registration process usually takes about a week.
Lessons:  People who are new to windsurfing can become members and take our “learn to windsurf” program of four lessons for $120.

Practice Sessions for Members:  Members without equipment can book practice sessions on TWC equipment when lessons are taking place for $30 per session.

Storage: Members with equipment can take advantage of on-site storage.

Fees:
Single Membership - $111.50
Family - $ 157.00
Primary Storage Slot -  $191.00
Additional Storage Slot -  $146.00

Group Lessons
TWC uses a 4 lesson approach to teach the basic windsurfing skills to newcomers. By taking this course you'll be windsurfing on your 1st day of lessons.

Lessons are booked on-line. Four learn to windsurf lessons are $120.

Lessons and practice fees include board, sail, lifejacket and wetsuit (as seasonally needed). Students may bring their own pair of water shoes (we have a limited selection of sizes).

Parking is available. You should wear a bathing suit, changerooms are available in the club house.
For lessons and practice, please arrive 20 minutes before class/practice times to check in. Lessons start promptly. Late arrivals won't be accepted more than 15 minutes after the starting time of session Please bring a printed copy of confirmation of lesson registration and payment that is mailed to you when you sign up online.

Members may lose their sailing privileges if they don't follow the LTW rules, including staying within the limited boundaries.

Want to set your own times for lessons?
Semi-private windsurfing lessons for members can be booked directly through any instructor:(scheduling, dependent on instructor availability), please email semi-private lessons. General guidelines are as follows, 1 person $130, 2 for $180, 3 for $220.

Practice Sessions
Practice sessions are for members who have completed the four lessons in Learn to Windsurf.
Practice session are $30 per session and can be pre-booked on the website to ensure equipment is available. Practice sessions are available during lesson times. To use practice boards, you should be able to rig your own windsurfer.
