TWC’s Adult Learn to Windsurf program is a great way to get on the water, develop your skills, meet new people and have fun. We are the only windsurfing school in Toronto and are very proud of our excellent instructors, quality equipment and hundreds of happy students.
The program includes several different options to help you get started, improve and practice.
Beginner - a course of four weekly lessons to get started.
Next Step - a course of four weekly lessons to consolidate the basics.
Clinics - single sessions focused on Try It’s, pre-season refreshers, advanced skills or learn to race.
Stay Hooked - flexible practice sessions for graduates of our lesson program.
Private and semi-private lessons - set your own pace with extra instructor support.
Go to Lesson Details for descriptions of each option.
Lessons run from late May to mid-September on weekday evenings and weekends:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
For a detailed schedule for Beginner, Next Step and Clinics, please go to Registration. Stay Hooked practice sessions are usually available at all of the times above.
All TWC instructors are highly qualified and experienced with Sail Canada instructor certification and prerequisites in First Aid, CPR and water safety. The coach boat drivers are fully licensed. Some instructors are also accomplished racers at the provincial or national level.
All windsurfing equipment, life jackets, wetsuits and water shoes are provided. We have a very large selection of windsurfing boards and rig (sail) sizes to suit students of all sizes and abilities.
What to Bring
All students must bring:
